25 Things You Don't Know About Me...
1.) I am Kati of Kathy, Kari, Kelli, Kati, and Chris. Kati with an "i." On my birth certificate, my name is spelled K A T I E, but the E is crossed out--seriously, on the most official document in my life, there is an X over the E. Some of my siblings (Kelli and Chris, to be exact) still think it's hilarious to spell it with an E.
2.) I used to write fan mail to my celebrity crushes when I was in middle school. I honestly thought they would read MY letters and want to meet me. Yeah...that never happened.
3.) To date, I have taught/learned with 497 high schoolers from Boston (most of them for two years in a row). I still think about the twenty one who have offiially dropped out every single day.
4.) All 497 have changed my life, blown my mind, and taught me more than I could have ever taught them.
5.) I was born in Athens, Greece by doctors who didn't speak any English. My dad had to dress up in scrubs just to be in the delivery room with my mom.
6.) I love that my dad has heroes.
7.) If I could literally read all day long, I would. There isn't anything I would rather be doing.
8.) I'm allergic to water.
9.) I love lemon. I put an unbelievable about of lemon in my iced tea.
10.) I love remakes and cover songs.
11.) I used to think that my dream job would be coming up with songs for soundtracks.
12.) I have climbed Mount Fuji in Japan.
13.) I once played Tetris for 7 hours straight. I'm not proud of that.
14.) I am not going to lie...I don't really love animals.
15.) I have been to 12 schools--up until high school, I never went to the same school for two years in a row.
15.) I hope I look like my mom.
16.) My favorite trip was driving out to Boston from California in my little VW bug.
17.) I used to know every word to Snow's "Informer" AND "First of The Month" by Bone Thugs (at least I thought I did).
18.) My favorite feeling is being PROUD of people. I'm really good at it, and the people in my life make it so easy.
19.) I have a very real fear of wind.
20.) I played the piano for 7 years.
21.) I have the most loyal friends and family in the world. If I could choose my family, I wouldn't change a thing.
22.) I love watching Jeopardy and screaming out an answer for every single question. I'm in the red within 3 questions.
23.) I don't think it's picky or high-maintenance to send back food if it has a hair in it. That is not OKAY. Hair has DNA and is admissible in court.
24.) If I could move anywhere in the U.S., it would probably be Texas.
25.) I hope everybody in the world (young and old) daydreams...
